apatheticq's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lots of random stuff. Trying to force your mind to write is a difficult task. Words can be issued, and thus used, but little can be done for making something good. You write what you think, and hope for the best. I've almost completely lost the ability to adequetly analysis if what I'm writing is even worth reading anymore. It's just a collage of words that exit my brain. -------- Why are there so many utterly pathetic movies released? I'm not talking just of movies that I just don't like, I'm talking about movies that no one in their right mind would want to see. Take for instance, "Chaning Lanes." A movie about people who get pissed off in traffic, and decide to spend the rest of their time hurting the other person. How would this happen? It doesn't even seem remotely plausable. I can see how two studio executives would look at this as a decent idea. A: "Well, you know that road rage is a very popular topic nowadays." B: "Yeah, I was cut off this morning on my way to work." A: "If we cast a couple of big names stars, I'm sure we could turn this into a profitable venture." B: "Ben Affleck is always up for a shitty movie." A: "Think we could get Matt Damon as well?" This goes on for hours. -------- I love sports. I love the drama of watching a shitty team battle it out and steal one. But the utter stupidity of professional sports has almost completely turned me off. Detriot Fans boo'd Oh Canada. Sports players holding out for more money. Last night, Erik Strickland went after a fan because he spilled his drink on him. Shaq takes a swing at Brad Miller, and gets only a couple game suspension. A couple games?! What is up with that? If I hit someone, I get thrown in jail, yet these players get to lose less than 1/100th of their salary?! What is that teaching us? The double standard in all of celebrity-ness is appalling. Whitney Houston gets caught with pot, and it's dropped. Someone in Michigan gets caught with pot, and it's 10 years. Basketball players for the most part are completely out of hand. At least in Hockey they will suspend you for a year for a bad hit. And I'm tired of the hand slap after every free throw. When did this start? If someone is shooting a free throw, no matter if they hit it or not, every single time at least two or three players have to slap his hand. Can't they do this on their own time? If they would just stop this, the games would speed up a lot. 2:51 p.m. - May 15, 2002 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
